oufff finally a brave soul created a thread for us!

hey guys I am from the Ivory coast and I am so please to meet you all. I would love to know if some Ivorians applied because it would really suck to know I am the only one in this entire country lol.
@dick your picture is kind of racist but at the same time really funny. I dont think I ever laughed so hard at that word before. Don't get me wrong, I know u mean well.
anyways it is nice to meet everyone and good luck to us all.

Isn't there a certain time though when the subject becomes touchy? This happened to me before the end of high school. Having cousins my age who did have green cards and me not having one and all the talk about college and jobs It was hard not to be a lil jealous, dare I say even bitter.

Not really. When you're from an ethic group where a good portion is here illegally, it doesn't matter hell everyone assumed you're here illegally

I took a global politics class this past semester where we discussed Africa and it's contemporary global issues thoroughly for quite a portion of the semester. Because of that, I made it my personal mission to memorize every country in the continent, its capital and geographical location on a map and their flags. Just seeing all of you mention your countries of origin all that flashes through my mind as soon as I see a country mentioned is something along the lines of:

Country: Uganda, Capital: Kampala, Borders: South Sudan, The D.R.C., Tanzania, Rwanda, and Lake Victoria Flag: ..Some bird with a fro

Basically, information thats nice to know but really wont take you anywhere.

Anyway, it's nice to see a considerable amount of Africans in the forum.
