Q: Client has been granted DACA and has received his EAD (employment authorization document) but has now lost it; can he obtain a replacement card without having to pay the application fee again or maybe by receiving a fee waiver?

A: We haven’t encountered that issue yet. Individuals with this issue can email public.engagement@uscis.dhs.gov. Maybe individuals can file Form I-90 instead of refilling the I-765.

Okay, I am sorry but how are you idiots losing something as important as your EAD Card? I mean seriously? You're so excited to have one now and you wave it around and carelessly loose it? This wouldn't be a issue but ive seen around 4 people losing theirs already. It hasnt even been 2 months for most of them and they have already lost it? wow......

Don't call these people idiots. There was a guy on this forum at the start of DACA who got banned for doing the same. I agree with you though...

Bad luck.

That's why my EAD/SS card doesn't see the light of day unless I need them to apply somewhere. Even then they're in a hitachi case handcuffed to my wrist.

The thing with using something as important as a EAD is someone can use it and by the time USCIS issues a new one and clears that old one, the damage could be serious.

I'm pretty sure the people losing them have never had to take care of sensitive documents with them ever, so I don't blame them.

Ever since the Real ID act came into effect, I don't sleep a wink if I don't know exactly where my Driver's License is (my driver's license has no restrictions because I got it before the Real ID mess started). If I lose it, I'm f*cked.

Guard these things with your life people!! Get a safe!

Yeah same here, when I got my WA DL there was not interview, now there is an interview to prove you are actually a resident in Washington. Either show proof of residency or provide proof of becoming a resident or the intention of. You guys are going to make a habit of never leaving a store, school, church, where ever you go with out double checking your wallet to make sure everything is in place. Never carry your SSN anywhere with you. Leave EAD card at home. Make a copy of your stuff, and put them in a safe house. Here most cops will take a copy of your DL if you lose yours until you get it ( I think 30 days you need to file a police report)

Apply for a replacement I-765, make sure you check the replacement box. Send copies of all approvals and notices along with a check for $465 and send it to your corresponding lockbox.
