bluesky, paging bluesky~
I am going next week for my behind the wheel test. I will ask them why is doing that. I had problems with SS# as well...Such incompetent personnel the government has.Unfortunately, most of those jobs require you to be USC.

So I just received my DL in the mail. They gave it to me for one year and it says Temporary on it. I'll need to renew it every year which really sucks.
Does anyone else gotten the same thing?

Update: Received my CA ID in the mail today. Expires in 2018 (6 year full-term ID!) Thank you Lord! This is the same day DMV updated the online status as "mailed on 12/10," same thing that happened to DreamAlive.

Expecting my CA DL tomorrow, which also changed status today, but understandable because I passed behind-the-wheel a day after I applied. Will update you on that soon.

Some people in CA have been getting 2-year term ID/DLs expiring on their EAD date. But our state doesn't do "temporary" markings on the actual cards. TX is so harsh... why just 1 year? not even EAD expiration -.-

thanks man~ i applied for it on the 26th, but i took my behind-the-wheel on the 27th, so the counting for DL should begin on the 27th really, that's why the id came first i guess

This happens when you have no divider in between two windows. It was really annoying. She was talking, eating, talking, eating...
Had the same problem. The lady was chatting up a storm and wrote down my address wrong the first time so she had to start over. Then the second time she wrote my last and middle name wrong, so she had to start over again. On the third try everything was going well until she scanned my employment card. For some reason she said it wasn't going through. She tried a few more times and failed. so she made a photo copy and was sent to take my picture. They said I should get my ID in 2 weeks, but I question that now. This was at the Fullerton DMV. Don't really want to go back to that one now for my DL.

How long after you were approved did you go to the DMV? How many days?
