I'm wondering if anyone here has been or has seen someone ask for the fee waiver or exemption for applying for DACA and get it approved? I know this does not happen a lot, but I'm kind of interested in knowing for future reference in the DA clinics I help out at.

Perhaps at this point in the game, someone has heard something about someone getting approval for this. Anyone?

As far as I know we are not eligible for waivers unless you are like a ward of the state.

There's no actual waivers.

Only grounds you could have the fees waived:
Your income is less than 150% of the US poverty line, and:
a) You are chronically disabled and unable to take care of yourself, or
b) You're under 18, and homeless or in foster case or lacking any other parental support, or
c) You're $25,000 or more in debt due to your or immediate family member's medical bills.

Few qualify to begin with.

I know all this, but I want to know if anyone has heard someone making use of this regulation and gone through the process.

Thanks for the info.

i know money is tight in certain situations and not everybody has the same luck as others, and unless you do qualify for said waiver as a fellow DACA recipient, waivers shouldn't even be an option.

like most of you here, i've been waiting for this practically all of my life, when the announcement was made i knew i had to pay, i was willing to pay whatever it took.

i am not a graduate of any school. i just never let my papers situation get the best of me.

good luck with everything out there everybody.

I agree 100%, I'm chronically disabled and as soon as they did the anouncement I new I had to get money so I started to recycle, looking for cans and cardboard so there is no excuse if I could do it so can everyone else, btw my level of sickness is End Stage so I'm a death man walking but still I paid my $$465
