New SSN application system?

Hey guys! long time lurker here! i got approved back on the 28th of november after applying around september 24th or so! anyways i finally got me EAD in the mail this past saturday and went in this morning to apply for my SSN and i asked where the form was but they had just told me that there systems got updated and i wasnt asked to even fill out a form, i just went up and they asked me some questions and i was good to go, the lady said to go back wednesday to get my receipt if i dont want to wait for my social in the mail. So do you guys think there revising it just for the fact that there are many new applicants coming in? or is it just my local office!?

Two weeks ago it wasn't like that 'coz I filled up a form.

Can anyone else approve this? Sounds interesting.

Also, what were the questions they asked you?

That's weird. I went and applied today for my Social Security card and I did physically fill out a form

I didn't fill out anything, the guy did everything on the computer. I went like 3 weeks ago.

Just basic stuff, in order it was
1-What identification's did you bring with you?
2-Name?
3.Address?
4.Zip Code?
5.How long have you been in the United States?

And im pretty sure that was it, afterward she said it all checked out with homeland security and told me it would be around 7 days for my ssn to come in the mail but i could pick it up wednesday.

i also didnt fill out anything. the guy just asked me all the questions that are on the form...i think.

asked for my birth certificate and my EAD.

They didn't ask me how long I been in the US
