Definitely you can use it as ID. BUT I personally don't like the idea of letting the EAD go out of my wallet or my hands for even a second because that slightly increases the chance of losing it or messing it up. I think I'll just put it away once I get my DL unless I'm traveling.

I wish I could do that, but as I said in my original post, I live in Arizona and a DL or ID isn't possible at the moment.

Move out?, honestly who in their right mind would want to live in such a ignorant racist backward state.

I knew someone would say that. It's a lot easier said than done. My entire life is built here in Arizona so to either pick up and move or leave it all behind is not as easy as one might think. Besides, Arizona hasn't always been this backward or racist, as you say.

I'm sure your parents had their entire life built in Mexico and they picked up and left.. You could do the same.. It's just a different state not a different country.

I'm sure Arizona is great and all, but you should seriously move. Obviously you and your tax-money is not welcome there. :O

Take a trip to New York. I've heard they allow you to be living in New York for one day and establish the fact that you can claim you're a resident there. Just putting that idea out there.

When my grandpa comes from Mexico, he likes going to the Casino, so I go with him. When I had just my EAD, I tried to get one of those Casino membership cards with the EAD and the guy there looked at it and asked another employer if they accepted that card. He told me they couldn't accept green cards....

I didn't even bother to respond. I was dumbfounded. To top it all off, he asked me if I had a Mexican driver's license, they could accept that. I just said no and walked off.

God damn the stupidity of some people. They would accept a Mexican document, but not one from the U.S Government.

NY has no proof of address requirements. Only thing that you need is a valid address they can send it to.

Keep in mind that NY licenses do have the pesky "TEMP. VISITOR EXP: XX-XX-XX" text. If you are to get them in another state go to IL or CA.

EAD cards don't have ur address plus remember if u lose it, it could take a long time to get one plus you would have to pay the fee again, so be careful
