Ok I went today on my 6th day. Went good. I got the receipt but doesn't have the number. Just tells me that the card will arrive within 2 weeks

I called the SSO yesterday to see if I was verified yet, so i could guestimate how long until i received my SSN. Turns out I was verified and should get it soon.

I later went to the mail box and there was a letter from the 11th (the day i went in to the SSO) saying that i was verified and would get my card in about 2 weeks.

point? I dont think the guy at the SSO really checked if i was verified or something. i dont know. but...yay! hope y'all get yours soon!

I'm not completely sure whether or not at some point SSA gets notice that your "status" changed, but I personally think it doesn't, so that's why I went to the SSA and got it changed to a "valid with DHS authorization" card. It bears the same number and they changed my name to match my EAD (my name was shorter on my SSC before).

Can you tell us the dates you applied and got it? Cause I applied for mine Monday and wondering if it might be here by today (Saturday) my DACA took so long I'm hoping my SSN at least comes in somewhat fast lol

Same, I applied this morning (Friday) was in and out of the office within 15 minutes, very quick process. I hope it gets here soon!

I just got my DL with the letter of denial. Now i gotta wait for my ssn.

I got my EAD printed on Tuesday, arrived Wednesday, went to SSA office on Thursday, lady there asked for my birth certificate and my EAD card, gave me a receipt saying my card will arrive in two weeks.

I went to the social security on monday and the guy told me that i could go and get a printout of my number within three to four days. I went back two days later and another attendant who was really cool told me that it only takes 24 hours for your number to get processed and that you can get a print out with your assigned number anytime after those 24 hours. I then took that print out to the DMV and got my license the next day. This is in South Cali by the way...
