I'm actually in the "interview season" right now...
Ive only received one interview for Jan in a Texas School.
Not all Texas Schools bother w/ Dreamers...
If i get in, I hope to get my DACA approved by Feb

Congrats !! for that interview and I wish you good luck!!!

I am applying as well!! I am in California....what has your experience been like? What have been your obstacles? Did you apply as international?

For everyone that is here, I would like to tell you about this group called Pre-Health Dreamers... it's started by a few DREAMers and is meant to be a community, resource, and network for every undocumented student pursuing careers in health and science (nursing, medicine, public health, research, etc.). If you or you know someone who is interested/would benefit, sign up to their list serve here : www.tinyurl.com/ab540med!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are already about 200 members nationwide.. even some med students and nurses!

its really a technicality since my grad school program (deaf education) is considered part of the otolaryngology department. i was also very lucky that they paid for everything even after i told my professors that i was here illegally.

good luck to those of you that want to apply!
i dont think you are in medical school unless you are getting MD degree.

You know if you try hard enough, there are merit scholarships so please don't complain. My hopes of becoming a physician are serious. I know there are a lot of obstacles. A TON. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't stop striving for my dreams.
You shouldn't either. and if that means affording a county college, more power to you but please don't spread pessimism especially if med school is the least of your concerns.

Good grades, and hard work. The rest are excuses.
