I have a Question...

So ive been approved today for both applications! HOORUH!

so anyway, my question is, i have a legit SSN with the infamous "Not valid for work employment" sign on the card.
Since theyre going to give me the same SS number can i go directly to the DMV and get an ID before heading to Social Security office to get a new card?

or do i have to get my SS card renewed first before heading to the DMV?

Your SSN will be the same, soaybe youll be able to get your id before you replace your SS card.

Congrats. I went in NJ to the DMV with a 'not valid for employment' ssn card. I had no problems.

yea thats what i was thinking since i have all my credit history in that card. It will be ridiculous if they give me a new number.

Then head to DMV.

Did anyone find out for sure they will give us the same number? just mail us a new card?

yea bro, let me know how it went.. because i was debating if i should go to the DMV on monday first and take the written test for a state DL... then after that head to the SS office..

They won't give you a new number.. They don't hand those things out lol you get 1 in your life maybe a different in very limited circumstances lol but just go and get a new card
