Urgent DACA question

My brother was mailed a letter from the Dept. of Homeland security stating that he go to an interview. We had a final order of deportation. Enclosed in this package was the DACA application. I don't really understand why they mailed this letter to him, he is about to start applying.

Yeah whoever mailed you your order of deportation was nice enough to mail you a DACA application. I would think you and your brother are smart enough to pick up on this hint. Good luck!

I don't know I just that it was weird that The Dept. of Homeland Security would mail to him, and the fact that he has an interview.

It sounds like good news but the reality is he should also see a lawyer just in case!

Definitely should try contacting a lawyer, or a local organizations that advocates for undocumented youth, preferably one that is undocumented youth led and could have some contact with lawyers that could help you navigate this process at a reduced cost or hopefully free of charge if they find someone to take your case pro-bono (free of charge in the extent of their advice, you would still have to pay the fee).

Believe it or not, we do have people that would support DACA beneficiaries, it seems whoever sent you that application realized the opportunity you had and sent you that application as a hint to take that opportunity.

I have even talked to at least a person within ICE that seemed sympathetic to our cause, while still being critical of other immigrants, the irony behind his family history caused me to become dizzy as to why someone like that would work for ICE. (I have heard accounts of other people within ICE being supportive in secret of course).

Do you have any idea where I could try to contact an organization that would help me with this?
