Don't stress, just do a walk in as soon as u can. they made the appointment and that's what u went by. The closing of the office today was a last minute decision made on Friday to give all federal employees today off, u had no reason to think they would be closed today with your appointment scheduled for today.

I hope your boss is understanding in this situation.

Why are they closing it down? If the reason was they had too many staff taking days off.... well
Suppose all the staff doing biometric are gone, then you have to ask yourselves why would they do this in the first place?
Even local Deli is can manage workers better. They wouldn't let a worker off unless it is certain there is a substitute.

No one will take shit from any one unless it's on the news and it's some fucked-up major event.

The Monday after Sandy I was scheduled to take my biometric. They made us waited for over two hours because there was a backlog and apparently we also had quite a few walk-in. All walk-in were turned down, thank god. But it took me three hours! Some couldn't even make it because too many were waiting!

If these people are Vermont's customers, they have to wait longer.

It will be fine. Go on Wed and they will either take you in or tell you to reschedule. It's not your fault they decided to close today.

And to complain just because they closed on Christmas Eve?! It's really not that serious. I could see it be annoying if they choose to close for a whole week or two.
