Hey guys!
For those of you who got your SSN at the charleston location.
How long did it take for you to receive your social? I think I read some where they give it to you on the spot.
Also if I already have a DL from another state, I understand I only have to take the written exam, but do I have to have my social to do this? Since I won't be needing a permit.

Yeah you'll need your ss # to get your license. I don't think you'll have to take any test if you already have a license. You'd just be transferring it to here.
Didn't go to SS office at charleston but i'm pretty sure they wouldn't give you a ss card there, they've got to go through a process after you apply for it. Doesn't take very long to get it anyway.

My brother just passed his permit test this morning! He is on his way to get his social security number right now.

& I'm here just playing the waiting game until I get approved.

My sister was approved yesterday! (12/26/12)

*Date Application Received: 9/11/12 from Las Vegas, NV to Chicago, IL and then, Vermont.
*Biometrics Appointment: 10/16/12

Now I'm the only one left!

Also my brother went to apply for his SSN yesterday and everything went well! He was in and out in less than two hours I believe.

Just to clarify, my brother and sister both did not sign up for an account for updates with USCIS, but I did it the day I received my receipts. I do not know if that has any significance.

My brother received two emails saying he was approved, but my sister received no emails or text. She just checked online this morning.

I took the driving test at Sahara yesterday and passed it! Route was a little different than the one MadMan wrote out but it's still pretty easy. Lady was very nice.

After 104 agonizing yet hope-filled days, I was finally approved today! I was so excited that I called my mom immediately and before it even set in. While talking to her, it set in and I just fell apart. A 26 year old man crying like a little girl on the phone, but I was/am too happy to care!

I thank God first, then the Obama administration for giving us an opportunity. I pray my brother is approved soon (same timeline) too. I hope everyone gets approved soon! I'm staying on the DACA forums, you guys have been so inspirational to me!
