The thing is I'm attending community college and I pay instate tuition. Or is that different from the University?

You know, good point. I am not quite sure, I attended OIT and paid instate tuition but I attended PCC and paid instate tuition as well. You should talk to a PSU adviser about it

Yeah, but I've also been in Oregon all my life practically. I've been in the school system since preschool and graduated from an oregon hs, but my hs also has this dual enrollment with the community college as well?

how about you?

Same actually!

I just never bothered with PSU. When I applied to OIT, they asked and I just put I would try to acquire legal/lawful presence and status was immigrant

that was it. Not sure if they changed now

why is that?

do you have a degree from there?

The only reason I'm going there is because its the closest college.

I would loved have gotten the opportunity of going to oregon state, but I don't have the money.

Like what? PSU is one of my choices to finish my degree. The way I see it when I hear bad reps from schools I just take it and toss it. Almost every college/university can be given a bad rep one way or another. I mean can PSU be THAT bad to the point that the state wants to shut it down? or is THAT bad that employers toss your resume once they read PSU as education?? I just want to finish my degree without ending up broke with only 10 bucks spare for food. PSU is very cheap compared to my previous university in NJ ( more than double than the PSU tuition example: almost $400 per credit) and it was the cheapest in NJ. NJ is also the most expesinve state to live in so Oregon seems very cheap to me.

Portland is great! Lots of hispanic people. Pretty Good diversity in general. If you are looking for a community college you can check out PCC. Ihave also have a couple friends that go to PSU and i've heard good things.
