What's your favorite kind of liquor?

I'm not that experienced nor into the finer detail of different brand names, but I have tried Tequila, Brandy, Vodka, and Gin.

I don't like Tequila very much, the taste makes me sick.
Gin is the same, in fact, Gin is the one I have enjoyed the least.
I like how Vodka is neutral, and its versatility in mixing.
I haven't drank Brandy lately, but I remember having enjoyed it.

Before I shell out on another bottle, what is your favorite?
Please note only the type of liquor, not the brand/ I personally take note of the type first.
