this is what you should do when you get to the SSA office

when i went i had the app already printed out and filled out and got to the office. took a number, waited for your number to be called. whenyou get to the window, tell them that you need to apply for a SSN becauseyou were approved under the Deferred Action.

take your EAD and as must evidence to prove your identity. usually your passport works if you have one.

good luck and let me know how it goes!
Alright hawkeye2013 I'll let you know Thank you so much.

They don't need to ask for your parent's ID, sign the form yourself and go alone next time, your parents do not need to sign the form at all even if you're a minor.

Thank you turmalina and yeah I should have done that but of course I had no idea what so ever, the first time I went to ssa to apply (even without filling the application) they told me that I had to wait 10 days after I received my ead card then after waiting for ten days, I tried again but this lead with the whole I.D situation which left me hopeless, but now that you guys helped me get informed, I hope that this third time, they will able to process my application which I already completed and signed.

Above all, don't worry, you're entitled to a social security card. It's not like you're not and are asking for something you don't.

My brother is 17 and he completed the process by himself, he already has his SSN, no parents required.
