Now, I have a particular interest in your case [Acceptance to Medical School].
How do you apply through the AAMC? Don't they ask you for your Social, and Citizenship in order to register or send the primary application to Med schools?
Im doing DO not MD so i applied under AACOMAS not AAMC ( DO is same as MD but the former have to do additional training in musculoskeletal manipulation. they recently announced that they will be merging the two under one system) Yes they asked for the social and citizenship, I didn't put a social and said international student. My essay was about my struggles as an illegal and what I've accomplished despite it. The first time I applied to a medical school, I used AAMC & did the same thing. You can register and send primary apps without a social, it just treats you as an international student. The school decides whether it will accept your application or not. I got as far as an interview the first time with AAMC ( allopathic schools), this time around, I got accepted.

Nothing. Just wait. They are not going to tell you anything they haven't told someone else already.

Got my EAD and my notices in the mail a few minutes ago! So happy!
I thought in the notice they tell you further instructions about getting the social, guess not. Anyway going tomorrow. Where do I find the SSA?? Or do I do that at the office.

As expected, they said the same thing everyone has said before, asked about my background check and he said he didn't see anything, just that the case was pending. Also mentioned that I have to wait the full 6 months if I had not heard anything. He also mentioned something about 75 days of something, has anyone called and know what he was talking about, he was mostly mumbling. I want his job, only reading crap off a monitor.

I just got off the phone with USCIS support and they gave me a poorly constructed canned response that this application is set to take about 4-6 months to approve and that i should be patient. I asked if they got my biometrics, the lady said she could not tell if they did as it's a different department. I'm like the service center i went to was a USCIS center, but she couldn't help. It'll be 4 full months for me come Wednesday. Fantastic!

basically same thing they told me, I think I'm going to start doing a countdown until Feb. 31. That's when my 6 months get here, so technically, it should be here withing those days.
