Have any of you or anyone that you know have obtained their drivers license in Oregon with their Work Permits obtained through DACA?

No one that I know of but once I receive my S.S# Card (i only have the number)I will go to DMV and get my state i.d and take the permit test. I'll keep you posted!!! From what the Oregon DMV requires it doesnt seem like it would be any trouble.

I should get my ss number sometime next week. I already have a Washington State license, so it may be easier for me to just update my license. But I'll keep you updated.

I went to the DMV today thinking There would be no problem getting My DL based on what I have read online.(many sites read Oregon agree to Grant DL's) Unfortunately, after completing the app. and waiting for my number to be called. the person at the DMV, Process my info and then told me that they have sent a letter to immigration asking it DACA good enough proof for legal precense and that they have not responded to them yet. they process my info and said that would contact me when they have a response. they also mention I would need to pass the exam and charge me $5.oo I went and took the test and fail by 1 point. Good luck to everyone else and lets pray that we get a resolution soon.

I went to the Beaverton DMV and showed them my EAD, SS Card, and Washington State license. I did not mention anything about DACA and I had no problems getting my license. The only immigration related stuff that happened was when the lady had to run my card through the USCIS database and that only took like a minute. Maybe they didn't give you your license because you mentioned DACA and the person didn't know what it was. There are a few other threads about Oregon and there are other people that have gotten a license using their EAD and SS card.
P.S. I hate the Hillsboro DMV. When they used to issue licenses to undocumented people here my parents went there and we got treated like shit.

Today, I went to the DMV in Portland , After I took the test and pass they had to verify it but it didn't do through so they had to send it to a different office to have it check and they told me to call back on Friday. I hope it doesn't take to long to verify it.

I went on Dec. 24 to do the knowledge test and today was my driving test. After waiting forever and ever(probably 20-30 min) as the guy inputed my ead card numbers into the system it turns out they couldn't verify it and I have to call in 7-10 business days. You think it would've been easy to verify since my ead was issued in mid november. Oh, btw the guy had a manual that he was following on how to do the ead/limited term licenses. From what I heard there was someone earlier in the day who had applied for a license using an ead too.

wow that sucks! i wonder whats wrong. def go back and try with another person because when I was in the S.S to get my s.s reissued since it probably got lost the manager couldnt verify me because he made a mistake. his mistake was the type C33 that he has mistakenly confused. So def call but try again. I just got my s.s card in the mail today so I plan to g to the DMV maybe tomorrow or thursday.
