Yes you can complain! There has been caregivers who have won cases of wage theft, I would strongly advise to look for a non profit that helps about this issue and start from there.

considering you are an employee and she is deducting SS and Med off your paycheck, your boss can get in trouble for that.

My first job was at what amounted to as a sweat shop. One time I worked 28 straight hours. They never paid overtime either. One of my biggest fears was that as soon as one of the legal workers (or recently legalized workers) would try to get revenge and report them and cause a raid there. Any time anybody would quit, I would be scared for a week wondering what I would do if all of a sudden a van pulled up to the front door.

My point is that there are still many other people who don't have DACA and have no other way out. If you report them, make sure you don't accidentally deport anybody's mother. Also, biting the hand that fed you when nobody else would take you (even if the hand was dirty) is not good karma.

They are barely feeding them, every worker deserves his pay. I paraphrase the bible, in there it says that every worker should get what he is due. In our times he is due the minimum wage and he isn't getting it. He should be able to report them. Karma shmarma, he is doing what is right.

Yes, let them continue the abuse to workers and their patients just because they have mouths to feed.

Really, people, really? I so don't agree with being an acomplise for abuse just because you want to keep a job.

I think that if its gotten to the point that a person has to ask themselves if the should report abuse, it's bad and if you want to talk about karma, what about all the bad karma the abuser is gathering?

Don't live in fear anymore, people, and don't promote it either. You're better human beings than that!

No racism detected in this thread. None-what-so-ever.

Also, yes, report that bitch.

I think it's a little irresponsible to advise someone to go report a person when we don't know all the ins and outs of the whole situation. First of all what type of establishment is this? Why is he/she paying ssn and medicaid if this is under the table? whose ssn is she paying? What would motivate a person to work somewhere 5 years if this one is not getting paid? Perhaps on top of paying her, they might be providing his/her room, board and more.
We are all for justice and fairness but before we try to help out, lets make sure we know what is really going on here. On that note, I got nothing....I suggest she talks to a lawyer or an organization before dialing 911.
