Did this have anything to do with it?

You might wanna get in touch with Abaddon if this is the case.

Let me begin by saying that I was approved for DACA on Dec 14 and I have a master calendar hearing on Feb 14.

No need to panic. It is usually very unlikely that they will deport you at a master calendar hearing. Usually, master calendar hearings are just to schedule an individual hearing where they guide you on the merits.

If you get DACA before your hearing, you will simply need to inform the judge that you have received DACA and that your case should be closed. This is done via a Motion to Administratively Close, which you can hire a lawyer to do for a few hundred dollars or find a NPO that will write one up for you. They are failry straight forward motions.

Even if you do not get DACA before the hearing, you can write a motion to inform the judge that you expect to be granted DACA shortly, and so your case should be closed or postponed. If the case is postponed, the judge will merely require proof at this postponed hearing that you have been granted DACA to close your case. Of course, the judge could also just close your case without requiring proof. This should also be simple/straight forward. Hire an attorney or look for a NPO to file one for you.
