Hello all, I really need help with the documents to use for evidence ! I'm helping my boyfriend do his application, and we have the application filled out and everything, but he doesn't have any proof for 2008, and very little proof for other years.
He is 23 years old, he came when he was 15, entered HS. So he has his high school transcripts from like 2004 to June 2008 when he graduated. Nothing for the remained of 2008.
From 2009 to 2012 he just has paypal receipts from online purchases he has made, and he has those for every single month. For those years he also has verizon bill statements.

That's all he has.. He has never gone to the doctor/dentist (he went one time but the appointment was under his dad's name), all the other bills have been under his dads name. He has a gym membership but it's under his dads name because it's like a family membership.

My basic questions are:
-do you think the already provided evidence is too little?
-Is it bad to use just paypal receipts for like a whole year?
-Should he use bank statements or would that be bad to show how much money he's moving around? (It would help if someone that has done that and got approved would chime in here on that )
-Should he use pay stubs from his work IF he has been working under a fake SSN? (Because then he would have more evidence, but don't know if it should be done because a friend of mine that did this through a lawyer, the lawyer told him not to use anything that shows how much money he's making or using, like pay stubs or bank statements, so i'm scared to use that and then have him get denied). He has worked the same job for like 3 or more years.

Is there anything else like any ideas of something else we could use? I'm really worried about this. We don't have enough money to pay for a lawyer, so I'm really trying to make it right for him.

edit: Oh and he doesn't have any FB check ins or foursquare or anything like that either..

You need evidence for June 15, 2007-June 15, 2012

So, he is going to use his transcript for both high school graduation and evidence for 2007 and 2008. Just use and index and make sure that is clear. USCIS sometimes misses that you are using it for two things.

2007-2008 High School Transcript
2009-2012 He can use the paypal receipts and anything that has his name and address. As long as you are covering at least every 3 months you should be set. Don't repeat though. Like if you have a receipt for June 5, 6, and 7. Use only one of them.

Make sure your evidence tells a timeline but it doesn't have to be a bunch of papers. He can also use facebook check ins, myspace, facebook, bank statements, and some people have used their pay stubs with the fake ssns. But, would use them only if you get an RFE. Just make sure you don't write the fake ssn in any of your applications.

I agree with Flying only adding to tell you that the best evidence he has are his bank statements as they are periodic and detailed as far as showing continued presence by way of transactions. He will have to disclose on form i-765 ws how much he makes and how much he spends so disclosing his financial info might just have to be necessary and it's not a good idea to lie about how much he makes (not to mention, unnecessary). But just letting you know, however, that you have the option of crossing-out the bank account numbers if he wants to keep the info private.

His cell phone bills are also another good evidence he has to cover all of that time, and especially the one requirement about continued presence since 2007 till 2012 AND the specific June 15, 2012 date, in which I would send a copy of the detailed version of cell phone bill statements where it should the dates and places where he made phone calls to and from.

Lastly, use those pay stubs only he absolutely has nothing else he could use for a certain period of time (like flying said, if he gets a RFE, it would be one of them). Gym memberships might be another good one, are you sure his name doesn't even appear on gym logs as authorized members?

I'm of the mindset of not providing Facebook or any social media info to USCIS because they seem insufficient and can be argued to be able to be easily manipulated unless it is a last resort.

Questions:

1. My only proof of presence in June 15, 2012 (and the couple of weeks before and after) are cell phone statements, but the phone bill is under a parent's name instead of mine. (It's a family plan, I have my own phone number, and my address is the same.) Is this acceptable?

2. How long is too long a gap in documentations? I have a 3-month period and 2-month period where I can't find proofs, but the rest of 2007-2012 are covered.

18. GED Certificate
19. The Name, the state, and the city where you received your GED from.
20. The Date you received your certificate.

You haven't attended school since receiving it correct?
