ok so im planning on sending my daca app soon. i got all my documents ready. anyway to make a long story short, on Septemer 2012 me and one of my friends (hes legal) were parked at a park late at night and a cop car pulled up he told us to step out of the car, searched us and the car. theyy gave my friend a ticket and had to go to court for possesion of marijuana. after all that they let us go. the cop only asked me for my name, address and the school i attended and thats it no ticket. so i was wondering if this would affect me in any way on getting approved for the DACA? i would really appreciate some feedback.

Yes you are going to be deported.

Seriously? Try the search function. I myself have covered this a few times and so have other people. No it's not going to affect you. Many other people have actually been arrested and booked into jail, including myself, for certain things and still were approved. A cop simply asking your name is nothing to even worry about.

I doubt it. A cop got my name and date of birth for being around a gang member when he was stopped and questioned and I was worried that would show up.

The application form is going to ask you if you were ever arrested, cited, in jail, detained, etc. Your answer is going to be no to all these type of questions. I would be more concerned about reading the FRE threads and learn from them and file a thorough petition.

I'll give you an advice. Stay away from the drug world or your drug addict friends.

Like Spiderman says, everybody gets one. You got lucky. You dodged a bullet. Next time, your ass would be in jail and released to ICE.
