I'm new to this and thought I would share. I received my EAD card today 1/28/13 in the mail.
Timeline:
application sent: October 11 received oct 12
Biometrics: taken Nov. 27 (no walk in)
DACA/EAD approved: Jan. 23
Super happy and excited, but my happiness isn't complete till my brother gets his approval as well. Our timelines were the same. Wish that everyone gets approved already.

I have read several articles in regards to the new bill. It clearly states that dreamers are exempt from waiting. Everyone that qualified for DACA will not have to wait that long, which is great news for the majority of us. People that came in after their 16th birthday will have a tough road ahead.
