See? This is the type of person I'm writing about: uneducated, careless, selfish. He just wants a green card to be on welfare and watch Sponge Bob on youtube.

It does affect everyone. It will affect the next immigrants who will try to come to the country 10-20 years from now.

Oh, I forgot, you don't care. It's all about you.

I do not think everyone would go on welfare because that would include ME. I'm also an illegal immigrant. I believe the ones who have nothing to contribute and the ones with criminal records should not get the green card.
But that isn't up to me to decide.

I never applied for DACA. Stop making things up. Citizenship isn't important, the guy who tried to blow up Times Square a few years ago had the USC. I'd rather help the country grow by abiding to the laws and respecting their customs and paying taxes than to have a citizenship.
Having the USC doesn't make you more special. Please read that twice.

I'm very happy here and I would have gone back to my country if I weren't. Unlike some people who are unhappy in here, waiting to get a green card to be on welfare.
Ha? What do you mean he "had the USC." You mean he was a naturalized citizen?

Please state where I said that.
I have a driver's license. I work and I'm currently enrolled to college.
I do not need DACA especially when the government will give the green card OR I can apply through my USC brother who is turning 21 soon.

again, the usc... if you love this country and you were not born here one of the first things to do is become a us citizen, if you care for this country then you need to become a us citizen to be able to do MORE for your country.

you have a fucked up perception on how things work here.

you were lucky to have everything you ever wanted, please keep that to your self. you cannot push your views on others, we all have free will and choose to do whatever we want with it.

if we break the law, then we will all face the consequences.. (if caught of course)

you're not a DACA recipient? congratulations on your good luck.

you don't know the circumstances of other people and how they became to be in the US of A.

control your anger towards other minorities please.

thank you.

Yes it is. He didn't state she couldn't learn he stated mommy worked from 7am-5/6pm. A LOT of immigrants had worked that many hours or more a day and they made it.

He just wanted to find a excuse.

Should we give him/her some love?

OP is ok! It will work out for you I promise. You only want to be an LPR to work and go to college. We will see what we can do for you. However, if you don't fit the continuing residency requirements it might be a little tough. Have you tried Canada? since you don't care about US citizenship? You only want to work and go to college. This is the only country I know and the only country I was raised in.

None of us disagree that people with criminal records should not be allowed to apply. But, the thing is they are already by law not allowed to. ONE of the requirements is a background check already.

GENEVIEVE your Brazilian? too bad you just gave a lot of Brazilians a bad name well at least on here. My parents brought us illegally almost 20 years ago, now we are successful entrepreneurs or at least live sort of comfortably. we have a paid for house, were we currently live, we have a 45 acre farm almost paid off (4 more years) and just bought a big house next to the farm. and guess what my parents barely know some english words :O haha

Im not saying you have to own property to be considered successful and im not trying to show off, but just giving my story. we have never asked for handouts, I can pretty much say that alot of illegal immigrants who live here do love this country and want to succeed. im actually trying to learn Portuguese right now, im 25 and it aint easy, so i cant imagine learning english at a later age.

I have no interest in the citizenship but I have interest in making the country better. What's more important?
Do YOU even plan in contributing to this country by being a good citizen, paying your taxes, follow the law or will you keep believing that you are entitled to things because you came here when you were a kid?

My point with this thread was that no all immigrants applying even care about the country: they just want a green card so they can travel back and forth from the US to their country or be able to drive.
I will do my best to answer both of your piss ant responses. I was brought here, not of my choice, at the age of 4. YOU came by your choice and YOU overstayed your visa. YOU made the choice of breaking the law, I did not. My mom did end up returning to her home country and came back a few months later with a visa. Her life choices concern her and while I love her, I agree that she should have to pay for her mistakes, and trust me, she is more than willing to pay her back taxes even though she makes 9K a year, I've been teaching her English and she has even tried getting her GED. Also, while in Mexico, my mom was hit by a car, she has a freaking fractured pelvis and has cronic backpains because of that, oh yeah, she cleans houses for a living...fuck her for being too tired to go to a crappy ESL class where they only teach you salutations and some words out of a dictionary, fucking lazy ass beaner, huh? Guess you missed the part of the regular police checkpoints too huh? The ones where cops sometimes report unlicensed drivers to immigration.

I have never felt entitled to anything. You're talking to someone who has never had the opportunity to live his life. Ever since I was a kid, I've been wanting to serve this country, MY country, in any branch of the US military. I'm one of many on here that is itching for the opportunity to serve and give back to this country, OUR country. After hopefully a long career, I plan to run for political office to help my community. For you, to come here, to make the assumption that we're just a bunch of self-entitled fucks that want to be residents to serve our own needs and apparently not pay taxes and keep being 'lazy'...that's just beyond me.
