Why are you here, and I have don't know where the hell you get that welfare idea. That is what make you come off sound like a jerk and why everyone is refuting you, because you keep putting your own opinion what people are going to do.

I came to the US with a visa but I sent my form I-549 (to extend my stay here) on the day that my visa would expire...so here I am.
I cannot go to college because I don't have a student visa and finished high school in my country, Brazil.

I really hope they give the amnesty soon.

He has been calling it amnesty for a while holy shit

This guy literally doesn't have an education

Can you guys stop paying attention to him now

Probably frustrated he thinks he's doing everything right yet feels some unfairness going on. Probably frustrated as well

Look who is talking..the guy who is on this board for the past 3 months yet has over 1000 posts. Soon to be on welfare? Is that why you have so much time to be on the pc?

And what a creepy weirdo, you really went through my posts to see what I had said before? So what I called an amnesty? I am uneducated because of that? And those people who come running through the border are what? Educated? If they were the American consulate in Mexico would have granted them a visa.

I do not think everyone would go on welfare because that would include ME. I'm also an illegal immigrant. I believe the ones who have nothing to contribute and the ones with criminal records should not get the green card.
But that isn't up to me to decide.

I never applied for DACA. Stop making things up. Citizenship isn't important, the guy who tried to blow up Times Square a few years ago had the USC. I'd rather help the country grow by abiding to the laws and respecting their customs and paying taxes than to have a citizenship.
Having the USC doesn't make you more special. Please read that twice.

I'm very happy here and I would have gone back to my country if I weren't. Unlike some people who are unhappy in here, waiting to get a green card to be on welfare.

How do you know it was just from 7am-5pm? My dad worked two jobs for a long time? He speaks English. But, he worked 8am-3pm in one job and 4pm-11pm in the second job.

I live in LA and the Latino community is HUGE. Did you know Latinos hate blacks? Do you think the Africans, Haitians or any black Hispanic/Latino/South American who came to this country is not welcome into the highest population of illegal immigrants?
Do you think when those Hispanic immigrants go to the streets to rarely protest, that they want to hold hands and unite with the black immigrants?

You want to talk about someone, talk about your own people who discriminate people in the exactly same situation as them.
I live in Northern California where blacks get along with Latinos just fine as a matter of fact I'm about to have a half black nephew.

I also doubt that you would love to hold hands with Latinos and protest because I can tell right away you're the type who thinks they are all that and if you ask me you sound a bit racist to Latinos.

Talking about "my people discriminate blah blah" and what are YOU doing? Ain't you discriminating Latinos because you sure as hell sound like you trying to throw shots at Latinos and even if you ain't you're still discriminating a group of people that in your tiny peanut mind don't deserve to be legal. Like someone said earlier to you that if we go by your logic then why would you deserve any help when YOU WAS OLD ENOUGH to understand that you was going to break the law and stay here illegally once your visa expired? Don't be a hypocrite and so ignorant lol.

I graduated with honors from high school. I received my B.A. in 2007 and will be receiving my M.A. this May. My mom might not speak English all that well, but she cleans houses every day and pays almost $2500 a month for housing alone. My brothers are US Citizens and pull $50,000+ a year.

You are ignorant. First of all there are income requirements to apply already and to petition someone they must have a certain income. The 1996 bill already does not allow recent LPR's to apply for any social services during the first 5 years. EDUCATE YOURSELF and DO SOME RESEARCH FIRST!
If it isn't important to me, I don't have to. What you call "education" is research about ways and what has been happening about the green card giveaway.

I'm well aware that there are income requirements, my sister is married to a USC and she needed a sponsor. I don't need to tell everything I know or cared to learn about this topic but to tell me I am uneducated just because I don't know a few things about this makes me shudder to think what you people think is an educated person.

When did we ever require a handout? Most of us have been here since childhood with no handous, and we are not expecting any. You, my friend, assume too much.

MY EX WAS A MEXICAN-AMERICAN. 1st generation born in the USA

HOW'S THAT RACIST?

Why would you or anyone who came here as a kid is entitled to a green card just because mommy came running through the border with you? You people may have been too young to know why you were doing it, but your parents knew, so go complain to them!

Throwing shots at Latinos? No, I don't want a bunch of immigrants getting the green card and then run to ask for welfare like the dummy who watches Sponge Bob the whole day and doesn't care about learning English.
