btw one of the broken systems they are talking about and need to fix with this new CIF is the insane line people are waiting to adjust their status.. so expect to see a change on that

another thing, if ur a dreamer you will probably get a "status" a lot more quickly

the only thing im wondering about is whats gonna happen to the ppl with a TPS??

Yeah TPS is a different thing so who knows and nothing is clear and everything is vague. They said immediate permanent residency to dreamers but what does immediate mean? Let's not forget its just not about fixing the status for 11 million of us but actually creating a new immigration system. However I do see people with DACA be out in priority as you can say a cir would work the same way. And they would be spending too much already to re add it profiles already approved but who knows

I think that is the issue, if you are back of the line, we don't know if travel out of the country is allowed. Even though getting a status in upto 24 years is better than nothing, but I doubt I can stand another 24 years without seeing my family (they are slowly dying out).

It mean we're going to in the line like everybody else, no line cut. I think it fair.

I think is more than fair because part of the immigration reform is fixing it entirely just granting millions of people a legal status but actually fixing it so it could be possible they revise and make the entire process faster as its getting an overhaul

Well, aren't DREAMers supposed to get it in like 2 years, after finishing an associate degree or military service? Because if we have to get in the back of that line, I'm just gonna leave. I'm certain I will be better off in Mexico.

We don't know what are the new guidelines but following previous Dreams Act is not an associates but 2 years toward a BACHELORS

Enroll in an institution of higher education in order to pursue a bachelor's degree or higher degree or
Enlist in one of the branches of the United States Military

Unless the degree is transferable?

this should be interesting!

Ha, wishguñ thinking! I think the bigger issue here is our broken immigration system. If we have to wait in back of the line that means that we won't get a work permit till our visa becomes abailable, unless they change that. What we need is faster processing times.

when they say to be put in the "back of the line" do they mean the line to become a US citizen? ...cause i could care less if i become a US citizen tomorrow or in a 100 years, but like i said before just give me something that will allow me to work, travel and pay for fair tuition and ill be happy... i wont ask for more

its insane how we are all trapped in a country the world calls "the land of freedom and opportunity" in my op this has to be one of the biggest misconceptions there could ever exist..

*putting aside the third world countries and north Korea* lol

We should all move to Sweden. The women are goddesses, the people aren't racist, and they have one of the highest standards of living in the world.
