I just received notification that my EAD is in production now. Strangely it was 2 months exactly after I sent it in and that is what they said the approximate time it would be for them to review and correct the error. I know this is just a major coincidence but judging by 4justice's timeline it is roughly about 2 months. Mine was supposed to be expedited since it was a birth date issue but I don't believe that 2 months is much of an expedited timeline.

I am just glad it all got worked out finally and hopefully I will receive my card in the mail by the end of this week. Good luck to all of you waiting, maybe yall's wait won't be as long.

Well I just got done mailing off my application and proof my name change and all that regardless I sent in all that stuff already. Because yesterday Friday I spoke with a level 2 officer and they said that when they receive my package they will see if they have the papers and documents that I sent them on file and if they have it they will fix my EAD card for free. Now with that all said I hope that a they get a move on it cause this wait is really annoying like for real for real.

I seen a few people getting their new cards, congrats! I sent mine on the 16, and USPS shows that they delivered my stuff on the 18. Do you guys got an email, text, mail, a status update or anything that states that they have receive your stuff?

Yes, a status update which then sends you an email or text or both. It says what the title of this thread says.

Awesome, thanks! Do you know how long do they take to let you know they got it?

On 12/27/2012 they sent me a text message that they had received my I765 correspondence. Yesterday my name was updated in their system, and today (1/18/2013) they have ordered production of my new card. My case was not expedited.

This should serve as a timeline for anyone whom has sent their card back or is planning on sending theirs back.

I just noticed that the biometrics appt letter has my name wrong too and also the receipt and at first I didn't see the error until now. But when I went for my biometrics the person told me to verify the info and I told him my name was misspelled and I saw him correct it.
But on the notice of approval my name is spelled correctly. So I will wait for further instructions and hopefully they'll replace it. I feel very anxious now.
