But even with the fact of being illegal I am so grateful to my parents for bringing me to this country where I have received an excellent education and the foundation for a successful future.

So, are you okay with your parents bringing you here illegally or would you have rather stayed in you home country? or did DACA change your mind/plans?

I'm 25 now BTW.
i have the same situation as u except i came at age 4
I think this was better for me because of my education and now with DACA i have opportunity

I don't know ir my parents were right of wrong when we all, as a family, came and stayed here. What I do know is that nothing happens by accident. I'm here for a reason and God made it happen that way. I'm so grateful for being here.

I think my parents did the right thing by wanting a better life for us. The bad part was that my da did not partake in the 86' amnesty... He didn't know how the US functioned or else he probably would of. I don't hold it against them.

I used to blame my parents for my status, but at the end of the day there's no doubt they did it because they wanted a better future for myself.

I wish they would've done it the legal way, but alas it's all working for the better.

Idk it's a tough call. I mean I respect my parents for doing what they thought was best. I don't think they imagined we would go this long (20 years) without any sort of legal status. That being said, although it's been hard I can't really say we have struggled much thanks to my dad. That guy could make it anywhere, he's a boss! The only real hardships have been not seeing our family. My grandpa passed away 2 years ago and it still hurts that I wasn't able to say goodbye.

But yeah I mean my parents have given me an amazing life, put my ass through college, and they have always supported me. I can't think of anything better than that.

Yes they did the right thing and if we could go back in time we would definitely do it again.
