Hey guys. I recently got approved and I wanted to go to my home country in Africa. My grandmother is of age and I have not seen her for 15 years. I wanted to apply for advanced parole in order to see her because I do not know when the next time will be.
Have any of you successfully travelled to somewhere other than Mexico and back?
How long will they take to process the parole request?
How long will they allow to stay abroad?
And finally do you think my reason is good enough?

Thanks

In my opinion, advance parole under humanitarian reasons is for those who have a severely
ill relative or if someone has passed away and you need to attend the funeral. I'm not sure though.

As far as I was concerned, USCIS was going to release a new AP application for us DACA approved.

Usually for stuff like that they have to be sick or dying. I would suggest you work this with an attorney.

Don't think I've seen anyone post about going anywhere farther than Mexico. In fact I've only read of one person (she went to Mexico) but was lucky to be allowed back in since she was married and had a kid. I suggest you speak with an attorney. Wish you the best of luck.

But i mean literally near dead bed kinda thing not potentially dying. You will have to get medical records. That is why you need attorney to help you set it up and so you can call him if there is an issue with cbp at port of entry.

No you're reason is not good enough

Basically you are saying

"I want to visit my grandma and my excuse is because I haven't seen her in 15 years"

1. Work Purposes
2. Humanitarian reasons (visiting someone does not fall under this reason unless shes half dead, you can medically prove shes about to die or die while you were there)
3. School/education purposes

Does this fall into any of these?
