For all the people on this thread it will be 6 months for me on feb 18, 2013 I got an email from Nebraska service center here is it. I emailed them about 10days ago "Good morning,

We understand your frustration, and regret any inconvenience this may cause but additional review needs to be performed on your cases.

While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays.
USCIS is unable to render a decision on your cases until certain issues are resolved. We are unable to determine at this time when the review process for your cases will be completed.

You will be notified as soon as a decision is made.

The National Customer Service Center's toll free number is 1-800-375-5283 or you may access the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov should you have any further questions or need additional information.

Regards,
USCIS Nebraska Service Center
EX0357"

I'm 20 years old. I came to Texas when I was 2 years old. I have a clean record.

The most obvious reason for that dude waiting 15 years is that he hasnt even learned english yet. As soon as he started talking, i instantly thought: "QUE?? QUE?? QUE?? QUE??"

I think that's a default message for anyone who is still under "initial review" I recall reading it on some other people's post who got the same message. I could be wrong...

I think it's safe to say...the way they are processing the applications, it's just random. Some people are getting approved in a month or so...some few, and others 5+.
