Ok, so I got a ticket for running a stop sign in december and the cop also cited me for driving without a DL. (I kept my car) I went with what my dad told me.. to wait in the mail for something.. so i was like okay... i didnt know i needed to show up to court.. so i got a letter today with an arrest warrant and a $2500 bail fine.
-Going to court to talk to a judge tomorrow morning... any tips hints on how to approach this.. i'm gonna be honest with him and tell him its my first ticket and that i thought i needed to wait in the mail for something and that I had been caught up with school and all n that I havent driven the car ever since.. I am not working at the moment..

-I'm under the defferred action proccess and also under another one from parents to son. :S

Damn man I hope this doesn't show on your background check and cause unnecessary complications.

Good luck

I didn't go to court either for a traffic violation (and no DL) and I got an arrest warrant but still got approved. Don't worry everything should be fine

This happened to my dad, actually. He went online and paid the fine. Nobody came to arrest him. You could go online and see if you state allows tickets to be paid online. If so, pay it. Then go in tomorrow to the courthouse to see what is up.

People forget, it is not the end of the world. You are likely to just get a "failure to show up" fine. My father had to pay extra for that.

But this is NC, just throwing some ideas around.
