The Dream Act should pass easily if democrats don't play politics. I don't think he can do that.

Perhaps this means that after 8 years you can apply to convert your status to permanent residency. The 8 years was the waiting period - and going at the back of the line. Remember most undocumenteds don't have a way to apply for green cards.

Sigh...so glad I don't do FB.

They are also jumping to conclusions too early since I suspect "The Dream Act" legalization portion within the President's plan might be very different and than this general 8 year plan of legalization being reported.Coming out against something without details is being presumptuous at this point.

I suspect strongly there is more to the President's plan than what is being reported.

That is undefined at this point and no one knows....let's wait for more details first on the Senate side and then go from there.

March is a long way away for individuals caught up on the news, lol.

Obviously this bill is going to be sliced and diced a thousand times over before it gets to its final shape. I agree that those people sound ungrateful, but they are useful in pulling the tug the other way than Republicans are going to.

8 years !! lmao that's a joke all the jobs that require residency tend to pay better and people would have to wait that long ...pretty stupid.
