But on the notice of approval my name is spelled correctly. So I will wait for further instructions and hopefully they'll replace it. I feel very anxious now.
After reading this thread I feel worried, if it was my fault, which I doubt (misspelling my name). If i have to pay the $465 and submit another application is a waste of time. As I said before my DACA approval notice has my name right. Omg, I feel bad now. Hopefully I will not have to reapply.

Update: I called USCIS Feb 2 and today Feb 4 I received the email with instructions on returning the card. I feel better now. I thought it was going to take longer to get any information on what to do next.

It WAS supposed to take longer unless they expedited your case. It took me, and has taken others also, more than 15 days to get that email.

I know, the lady that helped me said I may take a little more than 5 days to get a letter or email. What documents did you send along with your card? I'm thinking of sending a copy of the I 827D approval letter, copy of passport and I don't know what else to send . Thank you in advance.

Along with the actual EAD, I sent the document that came with the EAD, which asks you to keep it anyway in case you need to send your card back. I also sent a copy of my passport, consular ID card, and a copy of my birth certificate. I wrote a brief explanation of the mistake and how my name should read on the EAD. My mother's maiden name was on my EAD twice, once as my middle name and I do not have a middle name at all.

Thank you this is really helpful. I'll send it tomorrow. And hope they don't take so long.

So I was looking for some papers yesterday and I found a copy of the employment authorization application and I821D application and I looked through the employment app and I noticed my name misspelled (Melisssa ) So my application was wrong since the beginning.
I didn't do this through a lawyer, a lady that works at a law firm helped my sister and I fill out the applications , she asked to check everything and sign. And I checked I didn't see the error until yesterday. I feel so stupid because I didn't see it back then. It's been about 10 days since I sent my ead back and uscis updated their system the day after receiving it. I know I have to pay the 465 again but do you guys know if I have to file another application ?
Well I have to wait on uscis's decision. I feel really bad but I have to wait.

Apparently if you have to pay the $465, then you do have to file another application. Wait and see what USCIS tells you. How do you know that you have to pay again?
