I went to the one in Mission Viejo. What took the longest was getting my number called other than that talking to the lady took like 5 mins.

As long as you have your SSN number your EAD should suffice. I didn't even have to show my EAD since I had an expired ID to renew along the application for a driver's license.

I went 30 mins before they close so it wasnt busy... but it depends I guess. Some people said go early but depends on how busy the office is.
