So to make things short since I am typing this on my phone, I have pretty much known but not always understood. I came to understand the severity of the situation in my high school years like most of us here. But ive always tried to stay positive through it all. No regrets. Maybe when I get home ill update this with specifics and funny stories but for now, ill leve u guys wit this quick story. Last year when I joined a local group to help spread the word about DACA and to form workshops to help fill out the forms I came to witness and hear how many of us were really out there. It was an awesome feeling to know that you're not alone. I saw people there who ive known for a while who I just assumed were citizens but were really just like me. We are not alone guys and gals.
On a lighter note, heres a vid that might give u a laugh and make light of our situation.

I immigrated to the US legally when I was 6, but when I was 17, I was beginning the process of applying to colleges and asked my parents for paperwork. That's when I found out that my legal status had expired when i was 15

Parents didn't tell me shit guess they were too embarrassed or something. I found out by myself when I was 17 never really confronted them about it until recently...

I knew it from the beginning. When I came to the US at 15 years of age, on freshman year in HS, this was the least of my worries. The plan was to finish high school and then move back to my home-country since at that time there was no way to attend college. I ended up staying for college and I am not sure this was the best move because after HS I struggled a lot with work, college and life in general...Oh well

Well, I took the hike across the border at age 11, so I always knew. Didn't bother me much up until Junior Year at high school where I was offered a job at the school's program office, obviously couldn't take it ...

Still bothers me that I can't legally work. DACA approval would really come in handy.

I kinda always knew. Was ashamed of letting anyone know. But like most of you it only hit me when it was time to apply for college/graduation.
