If you had to supply DNA [whether it be urine, blood, or saliva] in addition to fingerprints, would you have applied for DA?

Why would they check your DNA? This isn't "Maury"...

I think they are trying to build a database, say for example some sloppy criminal leaves his/her DNA at a crime scene it will not be difficult for the authority to find them.

I read a article a while ago, that says Obama has a 'DNA sweeper' in his team, where ever he goes, the sweeper make sure there is no DNA left behind.

Yes, it requires a blood sample. It did not require urine, semen, and etc. I went through it less than a year ago. The only scary part is they didn't let me look at the medical file. I asked for a copy since I knew I couldn't open the envelope but they treated it as a top secret file or something.

I don't think personally they run a DNA test on your blood although considering I didn't get to see my file they might.
