ill try to be as specific as i can....
My sister filed her app 8/16/12
I believe she sent : moms property tax papers from 99'- 12', elementary school award certificates (97'-98'),hs diploma 200, school transcript,(96'-07') college grades 09-12',
Government volunteer awards 08'-12', bank statements, affidavits, ins proof, medical records, and idk what else... Besides her matricula, passport, school ids, mexican birth cert.

We all hired same lawyer we live in TX and our apps were sent to nebraska....

As my sis her husband also filed at same time as her!!

They both DIDNT CHECK THEIR APPS AFTER THE LAWYER TYPED, so since she had been waiting a long time she checked the copies the lawyer gave them of her app and she noticed that where it asks your nationality it said UNITED STATES and i believe where it says "place where you reside" it said Mexico..

Also, ie of her name Maria lopez ruiz....lawyer put her 2nd last name as "middle name". So she had to prove it was her , the one applying.... Ughhh.....

Im not sure if i make any sense explaining this!!

She got rfe because her name was not correct..... Or "officer" didnt know many latinos have 2ndast names. Like "maria lopez rojas" and the officer said that "she needed to prove she was Maria R Lopez, they used her 2nd last name as "middle name" so IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE :-/ she submited her bc, ids, and just had the lawyer explain the last name part!! Smh .....

Also, the geo horror the lawyer made..... So she had to send again papers stating she was here when daca was out and she applied here in USA not mexico!!

She received a noti of RfE papers received......

As for the lawyer she is really good!! My whole family has used her services..... 3 of my brothers are now us citizens or residents, as matter fact my dad has bios tomorrow...PRAYING FOR A SMOOTH PROCESS!! but i have to admit that the stupid clerk also did an error on my dad paperwork which led to uscis sending his papers back because they filed my resident brother as petitioner when my us citizen brother signed the form, also they put my dads wrong Dob, that was not even close to his.....all this happen around same time that my sis and BIL sent their rfe proof!!....

And yes its an awkward moment because on monday i received my card in mail and we were so excited for theirs coming in anytime!!! As they already had already ppl waiting to hire them!! And then next day their denial status came in!! ....all we can do is pray to God there is something we can do!! I feel bad because i only applied to daca for that "deportation protection". As i have my own business and im not so in a financial need....and to be honest i thought i wasnt going to be approved because me and husband do good at our business" THANK GOD!!_, AS for my husband he is also here illegaly and we are praying for an immigration reform to have that PEACE WE ALL HERE NEED!!!

SO , by me being approved its a bittersweet taste because of what happened to my sis!

Lets hope they can fix the error and re-apply. We really havent heard of anyone actually beig denied... So this bring a lot of knowledgeable info because i have a bunch of name variations, but the lawyer i used asked me them and also when i went to the biometric appointment they "fixed" my last name... So we'll see!
What about Bil what was his RFE for?

Hang in there chica lets all hope for the CIR !!! Mayne it will help ur sis n her hubby if anything cant b resolved w this denial.

We celebrate ur approval in silence

I think that might have been a typo. Can you tell us what her husband submitted?
It is very weird that 2 applications were denied. That also happened in that Univision forum, remember butters? When 2 people were denied at the same time, brother and sister I think. But in their case their lawyer sent their RFE package in the same envelope..
Did your sis ever get an update about RFE received?
I still think that it might have had to do with residing in Mexico. That looks immediately suspect, I wonder what they used for the June 15 2012 proof

This is what I am wondering . . . the carelessness makes me wonder if it was really a lawyer.

Anyhow, I am so sorry. See if something can be done. Do not lose hope.

Damn this is scary.
