I don't know if that is good advice, if the gentleman already has a legitimate practice (and also has staff), I doubt that he'd be willing to pay the OP "under the table." Besides, she is legally authorized to work in the US and her documents are valid so I don't see why she should/would be hesitant to provide the necessary employment information required for taxes and so on. There's no need to "cut corners" when she really doesn't have to, it's better to do things the right way when you have the opportunity and a choice to do so.

I looked him up and he's licensed to practice law. Although he did get like a warning or idk, he got in trouble back in 2001 for something but it says it was minor... I think I'm hired. But he didn't say! I called in today about it and he's like why don't you come in at 2 tomorrow and I'm like........ okay? I guess I'll find out. But yeah I'd rather go through it the legit way than have him pay me under the table.

Soooooo I basically quit today. Or he fired me? Or both? IDK. I walked in at 9, everything was nice and dandy. I wad doing my work and he walks in with a scowl on his face and doesn't even say hi or good morning. he's like HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT ONESELF IS ONE WORD?!!? and im like....... I had put "one's self" but I remember thinking that sounds too like philosophical yknow? And I meant to change it but I forgot when I gave him the print out. and he just kept going on and on like I don't get it! How do you not know?!!? and he berated me for what felt like forever and he's like telling me how I'm wasting his time. and when he said that I was like you know what..... fuck this shit! no but I was like I'm just gonna go now, bye bitch. screw the money too! I never want to see or hear from him again.
