Totally agree with this. Make SURE you stay on your math game.
Regardless what you get in to (with few liberal arts exceptions) you need math to move up in the world.
My major had very little to do with math (political science) and I had to change it because I had disregarded math for so long that when I looked at my long term (grad school-->job) plan I was going to have to take so many math courses to keep up/move up.

Indeed, it helps to take Math electives regardless of major. At least finish Calculus I & II. 1-year calc is the key to a lot of STEM related majors, and makes the switch much simpler and quicker than having to take precalc, then calc, then moving on to your newly desired major.

Yes, I will have to suffer Math and I have come to terms with it.

This 1st year of college is going to be a doozy...but I can't wait

Ya never know, I might end up loving the Math classes...we shall see...lol...

https://www.coursera.org/course/maththink

I recommend this free class offered by a Stanford Professor through Coursera to anyone transitioning to college level math. It covers all the basics of a standard "college math transition course."

The focus is more so on understanding mathematical logic, notation, and "thinking" as opposed to actual computation. If you want to get a running start on college math, I would advise taking this course or something similar if your High School or desired college offer it.

There isn't a single person who I don't know who hasn't stumbled when starting college math, even my Valedictorian friend who got A's in Calculus AB and BC.

Don't listen to this guy, that stuff is way too hard. Get something that deals with arts and stuff. Tons of chicks on those classes.

There's a test that counselors administer. It's called the SSI (strong interest inventory) test. You answer a couple of questions and it gives you a 20 page report. Google it to learn more about it. I haven't taken it yet but this is what I found online:

General Test Information
The test provides the client with five main types of information:

* General Occupational Themes (GOTs) - description of the interrelationship between Holland Codes and Interests, Work activities, Potential skills, and Personal values

* Basic Interest Scales (BISs) - your Basic Interest Scales Report will give you your TOP FIVE Interest Areas and the Areas of Least Interest.

* Occupational Scales (OSs) - Comparison of your likes and dislikes with those people who are satisfied working in various occupations. The Occupational Scales matches your interests to 122 occupations. Your score matched the likes and dislikes of people who are working in and are satisfied that career. The occupations are an example of a larger job cluster. The TOP TEN Occupations are the careers that most closely match your interests.

* Personal Style Scales (PSSs) - Description of relationship between Holland Code Themes, work styles, learning, risk taking, and team work.
Examples of Personal Style Scales include
Working with People
Enjoying helping others
Preferring practical learning environments
Preferring short-term training
Taking charge of others
Taking risks
Making quick decisions
Working on teams

* Profile Summary
Overview of Your Highest Themes, Theme code, Top Five Interest Areas, Areas of Least Interest, Top Ten Strong Occupations, Occupations of Dissimilar Interest, and Personal Style Scales Preferences

Thanks for the advice guys, I guess you guys are right I still have time to decide what to do with my life. I'm going to stick with focusing on math classes and do more research on film and what opportunities are out there.
By the way what kind of jobs do you guys have or would like to have in the future with your degrees, I'm curious.
