What was the fine for not changing the address? Is it just paying a fine and being done with it? It's probably worse for an out of state license. I'm not sure what story one could tell the officer without him guessing it's BS. "you just moved back to Texas but your car has been registered here and you've had insurance with a Texas address? "

CIR can't get here soon enough.
Well, back when we were in FL she had a TX driving license and the car with a FL plate. Some african american lady once stopped her (in FL) and back then it was very common for a lot of police officers to tear them up, but she didn't do that to my moms. She just told her some BS lol

Now, we are in TX with her TX license and we now changed the plate to a TX one . The fine was around 150 I believe. The insurance is under my counsin's name and my mom name as the second person in there.

Can someone share an experience on getting pulled over as an illegal immigrant? What should you say?

Yup, 2008 was when everything went to hell. While my relative was taking his driving test again (and failing), I got the inspiration to get my state ID while I was there since I heard a lot of noise about the new requirements coming up. My DL is long expired but the ID still has another year to go which has saved my butt many times for banks and buildings that require ID.

I've never renewed the ID but I wonder what happens if "someone" has an out of state license and tries to renew an in-state ID. Was the ID also invalidated when the driver's license was?
