Brown power, heh. This issue goes beyond race. Whenever I attend rallies, people always end up chanting in Spanish and sometimes they even insult cops. I know they mean well but they sometimes act childish.

I am not too attached to the fact that I am Hispanic. But then again, I define myself in terms of being a person related to God and to others.

i think that in order for someone to get something that person must know what they really want
this kids are mad but they also dont see that some of there problems are not only due to others but also themselves.
if you want rights in USA than why carry a mexican flag??
dont tell me that they just simply show where they are from, the issue is much stronger then simply immigration when it comes down to mexican immigrants
if kids say brown power that means that there parents are saying it at home and that is a problem that will only grow if nothing done about it, and it is not only a problem about documents
sorry

I think it has absolutely nothing to do with documents. I am not Mexican, but I see what you mean, because I see that in the Russian community (legal Russian community) as well. I think it has more to do with pride in their roots and nothing more. I dont have that pride for one reason or another. I dont mean that I dont like my roots simply that I dont give it that much importance. What is important to me is this country and the American way of life and I feel strongly enough about it to parade that. Having said that I think its absolutely rediculous that people are asking for immigration reform holding a Mexican flag. Maybe they should ask the Mexican government for reform then.
