I guess the DACA letter counts as proof of residence, so I'll just try using that instead.

Thanks

Just thought I would update this in case any fellow mass-holes are interested.
Took the permit test. Fairly easy. More questions on blood-alcohol level than I was expecting, so study that.

Took the road test on tuesday the 20th. It was about 15 minutes long. Stop on the stop line. Signal before turning. Park on a hill. Reverse 100 feet. Messed up a couple of times, but the guy administering the test was really nice.

He stamped my permit and it became a defacto license.

Just received my laminated license today the 26th. 6 days later. It doesn't expire until my birthday in 2017, so it's a 5-year.

Yay.

Highly recommend navigating your way through that dreadful mass DMV website and paying for everything beforehand. Saves a lot of time.

Worcester, MA here.
I received my EAD on tuesday, and went to get my SS that very day.
Got my letter that says I applied for one, that it would come in one to two weeks.
I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but my local SS office is filled with lazy people trying to
get free money. It was packed when I went, I would rather avoid another visit, especially if it's in vain.

Curious to know how strict the DMV is in MA. The way I read the requirements they need 3 separate documents. And the foreign passport must come with a valid i94. Which would be hard for DACA people.
Im from worcester as well! Still waiting!

I have already received my MA driver's license, and it expires on my birthday 5 years from now.

Reverse 100 ft? Do they just want to see if you can reverse 100 ft without hitting anything? lol
Did you have to use the hand signs at all? I've never seen anyone using those

They definitely ask hand signals, that's usually the first thing that they ask.

Hey guys, if I use EAD for proof of DOB will they look at the expiration date in two years and only grant 2 year license or give the full 5 years?
