I don't have any photo except a copy of my college id... Is there a way around that to get my social?

They took my passport, the girl next to me had her birth certificate and a translation document with her ead and they took that, not sure about college id. Call the office

Applied for my social on 3/28 and recieved it today. That was fast lol . Mine starts with a zero I feel somewhat normal

I am almost wishing my case was transferred to Nebraska My Sister in Law and her brother applied about a month after me and their case got transferred to Nebraska and they are already approved and got their cards. I think Nebraska has been doing more approvals than Vermont

College ID + EAD will do. My friend's gf got hers that way.

If possible you can also try obtaining a transcript, as that unlike your college ID does list a date of birth.


Anyways, after standing in the line at the DMV for over 3.5 hours, I finally got my NY Driver's Permit. Test was pathetically easy, I was done with the test in under 5 minutes.

In regards to socials: SSA in 2011 started using numbers starting with 6, 8, and some previously unused areas with 7. So it makes sense that lots of us are getting SSNs starting with 6s and 8s since those have the most open spots.
