is it better to walk in and ask if theres a position open or just apply online?
Don't give up hope. I suggest you try doing both sometimes you can also apply online and then do a walk in (try and be dressed professional since they might do an interview on the spot!)

Also, during the interview they might ask you questions like describe yourself. They don't want to know what your age is/favorite color/etc. They want to know if you fit the requirements they have set for the position you've applied for. During the whole interview you're suppose to "sell" yourself to them. Best of luck!

That's cool. Some members on here might say "Aim Higher" but some of us don't have enough luck and most importantly experience to do so at this very moment. Gain as much experience as you can from those jobs and keep looking.

Anyways, I think other than pay we should also be comfortable where we are working, making sure the hours/location are not crazy and that it will help us move up if that's what we are looking for.

Best of luck!

thanks...I will apply online and pay them a visit, and I'll definitely look up sample questions they ask in their interview so I can be prepared

Been running two jobs for fives years making around $40000 teaching SAT and working at a hospital with my dads ss#. Got ead early February and got a new job. I think I will grossly make $55000 working at a new place and teaching at night but it will eventually go up if I work hard at the new employment setting. job market is really tough now I think. Dont give up guys.

Well this is my successful story so far jejeje

I just got approved and thank God I have a friend's offer as "assistant manager" at the manufacturing (steel) company he works for, so I don't have to apply to any place . I told him I am still waiting on my DACA letter and EAD (4/3/2013 expected arrival) and then I have to wait like a week to apply for my SSC..So he knows that I'll be ready like in 2-3 weeks. It is a good opportunity for me to start with, M-F 8am-4:30pm = $600 p/w . I have completed all my basic classes at my local college, and will apply to the nursing department at UTSN for a bachelor's degree, and then specialize as a CRNA. So that's my goal..

STEP BY STEP I AM GOING TO GET THERE!
