EAD in production first? then approval of I821D?

I received an email saying my EAD card was in production and being mailed to me, but there isnt any updates on my I821D application yet
is this normal? to get employment authorization first?

Almost everyone's case updates like this, with the I-765 being updated first.

12/11/12-Application mailed to Chicago
12/14/12-Email recieved fom uscis saying my application has been transferred to Texas.
12/19/12 - Recieved receipts
02/06/13- Biometrics Appointment
03/19/13- Email notification saying Employment authorization approved

Yeah that's normal for me it looked like this:
8:15 am EAD in production
10:15 am, EAD and DACA in post decision activity
9:00 pm EAD in production (again)

so is I821D application approved yet?

for me it was the other way around...
my I821D was approved on March 19th but the other is still on initial review...

My case said your card is in productin on March 30, 2013, then on April 1, 2013 it said the same thing. Is it normal?

My DACA was approved 3 days after my card went in production... Congratulations!!!

Or you can be waiting for 821D approval for months like me! Luckily my EAD was approved quickly though.

And with the EAD approved and in production we can get a SSN and sate ID?
