I was applying at a community college and I'm stuck when it comes to answering a question about my immigration status..


These are the options:
Asylee Applicant
Asylee Status
Parolee Status
Undocumented Alien
Temporary Permanent Resident
Refugee
Permanent Resident
Unspecified refugee/asylum
Visa

this category still sadly applies to us because most places, jobs, schools haven't updated their applications for DACA and you are not any of the other options


Techically speaking according to the USCIS: you are legally/lawfully be here for 2 years. Or a legal lawful presence of 2 years, or ICE wont go after you for 2 years, well not actively

I put Resident. I also spoke to a person at the college before I submitted the application to make sure there won't be a problem. I would speak to admissions counselor.

In NYC, if you have resided here for a certain number of years, and was educated here...they give In-state tuition. I assume it varies by state and institution.
