Moderators please consider banning this ''Horseblack'' troll, his/her comments reflect very poorly on us and in no way represent us.

Trolling is dangerous as many right wingers get on here from google and assume we are being serious. I for one have never taken a penny from the government aside from school and have paid back what I have taken out many times over in taxes - don't forget, sales tax, gas tax, property tax are taxes too.

For what it's worth, my own parents, well past retirement age (but not enough points for social security) could have easily qualified for SSI. In fact, they had some people telling them they were stupid for not applying for "free money", but they refused to do it and both are still working. My father is in his mid-70's even and close to social security. The difference is one is free money and one is earned. You have to have pride in life.

You know the state spends around $10000 a year per child that is in public school. So assuming you came here when you were in fifth grade, going into sixth. The government paid $70000 from 6th-12th. But you are saying that you have paid that many times over throughout your life here( let's say you claim to have paid 3 times that amount). Do you really believe that you have paid $210,000 is taxes to the government?

To quote GW, you're using fuzzy math. http://www.epodunk.com/top10/per_pupil/ The state that I spent the majority of my High School years is now at $7500. In 2013 dollars. Back in 1986, it was a lot less. How much less? Well look here:
http://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=66

1986-87 3,682
1990-91 4,902
1995-96 5,689

Entire year 1987: $3,682
88: $3,682
89: $3,682
90: 4,902
91: 4902
92: 4902
93: 4902

So my entire public education cost the "government", Federal, State, County, City etc : $30,654 soooo 3 times that is about $100k

Of course, that is not adjusted for inflation, but neither was the taxes that were paid. for 5 out of those 7 years, I was living in a house by a child-less relative who was paying his property taxes and had paid property taxes for nearly 30 years without getting a penny back. That more than offsets the cost of my education. For the other 2 years, I lived in an apartment. apartments also include taxes in their rent.

So that leaves about $70k. In the last 20 years, you're asking me whether I have paid $70k in taxes? The answer is yes, absolutely.

But really, what's the point that you are trying to make? We're all freeloaders? That I'm a hypocrite? Don't be shy.
