Yes it is fun. Serving people food is the most satisfying role as a cashier. I would rather take care of customers than have to do all of the other stuff my manager wants me to do beleive me.

99% of the people that come are awsome and understand when I am not at the register and am cleaning something.

If I see some one needs help I stop what ever I am doing, it does not matter what, and go and help them, cause that is what we are suppose to do.

But there are some people that take their anger out on the cashiers or the food workers and
are complete A-holes.

My issue is that I am suppose to do this and many other things and I try my best to do all my duties but there are times that I cannot finish them on time. This is where I get the big lecture from my supervisor.

I am not slacking off but doing my best and giving it my all.

So she just left? Did she give them the two weeks notice, or simply just left?
I think that if this keeps on happening I am either going to be ask to leave the job
or quit myself.

I am nice to most of my customers but if somebody comes in being an asshole I pretty much act the same way with them. .I've been at my job so long and been bored of it that I dont care anymore. .it was good while I was going to school but now I am looking for something better. .

The two-weeks thing is a formality in some places. In her case, she gave the boss a heads up, but he simply had her leave same-day.

In california its at will employment
meaning they can fire you for a reason or no reason
and you can quit for a reason or no reason too
theres no requirement to give them a two week notice
but I guess depending on why you're leaving and if you're
leaving on good terms and you want to use them as a
reference in a future job you might want to give them the
notice. .

North Carolina. Its at will employment here, too. A lot of employers will simply have you leave once you give notice, even if it is a good relationship. Mostly to protect any intellectual property or confidential information. Though I can't see that being a big issue in fast food. Probably just a matter of whether or not the crew can get through the day.

Lol totally cussed this bitch out yesterday cuz she was being extremely rude.....it used to get me but now that ill be in the hospital soon I just think.....biatch we'll see who helps you when u need help lol jk but really when peeps act tough I just laugh at them it angers them more.....and for ur boss do what u can if u can't finish on time its not ur fault u have customers .....ur bosses are probably hating life and if u get fired fawk it u have an ead more doors open

i don't understand why would u apply to work at fast food restaurant? apply at walgreen. best buy,
eb game or any place that doesn't involve food is much better
