Thank you for the inquiry submitted to the Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (Ombudsman’s Office).

In response to our inquiry, USCIS has informed us that your case is actively being adjudicated.

Unfortunately, USCIS will require more time to complete its review. At this time we are unable to provide a specific time of when a resolution may occur. We understand that this requires patience from individuals like yourself, but we would like to assure you that we will continue to monitor USCIS’s progress and we will inquire about your case again after 60 days. Please let our office know if you hear from USCIS during this time period."

Then I did an e-request and I got this from USCIS......"Good morning

The processing of your cases has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that the cases are not yet ready for decision as they are under an ongoing review.

We cannot move forward on your cases at this time. We will make every effort to make a decision on your cases as soon as the review is complete. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 90 days from the date of this message, please contact us again for updates."
Do you have any idea what they might be checking? Do you have immigration or criminal history? Do you have a SSN?

No I have no immigration or criminal history and I don't have a SSN. ((( I don't know what they are Investigating or reviewing? I'm scared and I'm nervous and mad at the same time because I know I have a super clean record I have never gotten into any trouble with any law my brother and me have the same timeline. he got approved in October 2012 my sister applied in October and she got approved in December :-/ I'm still waiting....it's the dumb ass immigration officer dealing with my case he's the one taking soooooo long to review and make a decision on my case... They said my case is actively being adjudicated. But how long does it take just to get adjudicated? Ugh!

I think you will be approved in the next week or so. Just ended up on the wrong pile. At times I think we did wrong getting our apps in so fast.

I think the same dumb ass Immigration Officer that has your case has mine as well. They had told me that my case was being adjudicated and this was about 3 months ago. Its been more then 7 months and i'm still waiting...I guess they expect everyone to put their whole life on pause and wait for them to decide if to accept us or not. I've wasted over half a year of my life at home waiting for this since i've graduated high school. I would love to get my life back and continue with my goals, but until this Nebraska officer gets his head out of his ass i'll have to keep waiting. I KNOW THE FEELING.

I do have to say there is a strong possibility some of them are doing a slow down, as in they are with those same officers suing the government, but instead of outright just walking out of the office, they just slow down the process.

Are you telling me that they may keep it at August 31st for a long time and never change it so they do not have a whole bunch of people sending E-Requests or calling them. THEY WOULD NEVER DO THAT.

Welcome to the Immigration System. This is the exact reason they changed it to this way and now. No problems from lawyers, No problems from applicants, No problems from press.
