You'll likely have to go the general path with everyone else. Arrived before Age/Date requirements are always strict.

You can travel abroad with the provisional legal status. They will probably issue a document akin to the EAD or Green Card as proof of the status.

Its a provisional green card for 5 years (dreamers) and citizenship after the 5 years is up, isnt it? Similar to DACA. Apply ---> Approval ---> EAD.

CIR: Apply > Approval > Green card (5 years-dreamers) > Citizenship.
From my understanding (of the text of article) it is:
Apply (or get upgraded from DACA) > 5 years in provisional status > green card > immediately after receiving green card you can file for citizenship
I can be wrong though.

Hardly. 2010 was a massive run backwards from the 2007 version where you had a little over 6 years to citizenship.
Apply > Get conditional green card for 6 years > Do the 2 years of college/military within 6 years > remove conditions > receive permanent green card > you can immediately naturalize

I wonder if there are reasons why would we need to apply for green card, then citizenship.......

Yes,for procedural purposes. No non-citizen can gain US citizenship unless they gain a green card first.

Hmmm I see, make sense, but wouldn't this CIR change those procedures?

Oh my god! This is so exciting!!!!! I love that all of us DREAMers are included and there are no age limits and even those that were unfortunately deported will also have a chance.

Hey what about those that self-deported?

They're phasing that out in the CIR.
