Immigrated Chinese graduate student Lingzi Lu!

If the republicans try to label immigrants to terrorists to kill CIR then they should be cross questioned and asked if Lingzi Lu was also a terrorist!?

If anything, these events should be fueling the NEED for reform. You really think letting 11 million people go around in your country without background checks is better? Why not register them to keep em under check, increase border security, and in doing so, ultimately DECREASE the chance of such a thing happening again.

Sheesh, how hard is it for all the morons who oppose it to understand this?

That's exactly it. How can they be fine with leaving things as is, inaction is the same as willful ignorance.

Exactly. Sessions, Cornyn, Cruz and Grassley are probably working behind the scenes on a CIR kill theory. That said I'm sure the gang of 8 is working on defending the bill.

They'll use any excuse not to legalize 11 million undocumented people. They are willing to alienate businesses who support immigration reform (many of which are lucrative tech corps) and continue to pander to xenophobes instead of embracing a growing demographic of Latino and Asian-American voters instead of passing this thing.

Regardless of the circumstances, they will try to connect negative events to immigration, and paint a broad brush in depicting immigrants. One of the top neurosurgeons in the country was an illegal immigrant at some point; are they gonna call him a terrorist, too?

Illogical people will find any excuse to scapegoat oppressed groups for whom they harbor irrational hate.

"Oh shit! I crashed my car. If there weren't so many damn illegals driving around, this wouldn't have happened."

"The Cubs lost again!! Arghhh...it's those nasty brown illegals' fault. If they weren't here, they would have won!"

"Obama will take our guns away and arm the illegals so that the white man will finally be defeated. We must fight back."

"Why doesn't Obama care about white people? Why does he care so damn much about illegals?"

I'm obviously exaggerating..except for those last ones, which I read on Politico and The Hill, but you get what I mean, right?

lol... Everytime i think about congress just make me laugh now. The reason why they are there getting pay by tax payer money is quiet simple. Serve the people of the nation. But now all they think about is themselves and then their parties. 90% of the their masters(we the people) agree there should be a gun control and they said bad people do not follow laws so there's no need for gun control. Since when bad people follow laws? Why are still laws to prevent bad people to do bad things? We have a Congress is not for the people anymore. Those morons in the congress will do whatever they can to block the bill(CIR) but greatfully we have some enlightened ones too. Let's hope that we have more servers in the congress than selfish bastards.
